By entering the Teachers Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these “Terms and Conditions“). These Terms and Conditions cover the Money Sense Climate Savers Teachers Competition (the “Teachers Competition”) and what the Promoter expects from Teachers in relation to entries they submit to the Money Sense Climate Savers Pupils Competition (the “Pupils Competition”). Throughout these Terms where we refer to the Teachers Competition and the Pupils Competition collectively, we refer to it as the “Competition”.
Promotional materials relating to the Competition, including all information on how to enter the Competition, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotional materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the Competition without prior notice.

The competition is open to primary school teachers and head teachers registered with MoneySense, and whose pupils are eligible to enter the Pupils Competition, and who have completed and submitted an entry to the Pupils Competition.
Teachers on behalf of their schools must answer the question ‘My school deserves to win the prize money to spend on an environmentally sustainable project because…’ on the online competition entry form in no more than 100 words for the chance to win prize money for the school.
An environmentally sustainable project includes, but is not limited to, the suggested ideas below:
Entries submitted that are not in accordance with these rules, are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered or illegible will be disqualified. No responsibility is accepted for entries not submitted. Proof of upload to website will not be accepted as proof of entry.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants and disqualify any entry which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
There are three prizes to be won in the Teachers Competition. Only one prize can be won per school. The prizes will be awarded to entrants in the following order based on, in the judging panel's opinion, who has written the most considered answer to the question. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All eligible entries will be independently judged by We are Futures, [Trading as Accessibility Marketing registered offices 73 Cornhill, London, England, EC3V 3QQ], which will select three school winners from the entries submitted.
Cash transfers will be made to an account which is in the name of the winning school (and not in the name of any individual teacher/head teacher) and which is nominated by the school when requested.
Each of the winning schools will be directly responsible for accounting for and paying any tax, National Insurance or other similar liabilities in respect of their prize. The Promoters will not account for any such tax, National Insurance or other similar liability arising from the Competition.
The Promoter reserves the right in their reasonable discretion:
If the prize is accepted, the winning school should allow up to 30 days from the date their spending proposal is accepted, for delivery of the prize. The Promoter will organise the specifics of delivery with the winning school, with such delivery to be made at a mutually convenient time during this 30-day time-frame.
The Promoter may pass details of winning school to a third party who is engaged to deliver prizes to winners on behalf of The Promoter or (as the case may be) a sponsor or alternative promoter. If the prize is declined, or if the winning school forfeits their prize under these terms or conditions, then the Promoter may at their absolute discretion select an alternative winner based on the entry criteria.
Winner[s] of the Teachers Competition will be informed by contacting the teacher that submitted the entry, via email or phone, within fifteen working days of closing date.
Winning schools must accept their prize by email confirmation to We are Futures on behalf of NatWest Group plc using email@example.com. Winning schools must spend their prize money on an initiative to promote an environmentally sustainable project in their school. The school must provide a written proposal to We are Futures on behalf of NatWest Group plc setting out how they would like to invest the prize money within 60 days of being notified that their school is a winner. On acceptance of the proposal, the school's prize will be despatched within 30 days of the proposal being accepted, with such delivery to be made at a mutually convenient time during the 30-day time-frame indicated herein.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winning schools. If a school cannot be contacted within 15 working days, or the prize is rejected, the prize will be forfeited and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another school, as appropriate.
The Promoter reserves the right to publish or make available such information as is necessary to demonstrate that a valid award took place including, if appropriate, the first name of the winner(s), the name of the school, and copies of the winning entries.
If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner[s] the promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winner[s] for having done so.
The teacher hereby confirms that they have collected parent/guardian consent forms for all entries they have submitted to the Pupil Competition on behalf of their pupils, in line with the Terms and Conditions for that competition
In submitting entries to the Competition, the teacher hereby agrees to grant to the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the Teacher Competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the Teacher Competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes without further notice to you, with or without attribution, and without the requirement of permission from or payment to you or any other person.
Neither the Promoter nor agencies involved in this Competition may be liable to the winners, whether arising from tort including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise or for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating participation in this Competition, or in relation to the prizes to the extent permissible by law.
In relation to any entries they have submitted to the Pupils Competition, Teachers confirm that:
Schools with entries in the Competition may be contacted to appear in a promotional video that will be shown at COP26 in Glasgow in November. This video footage or photographs taken for this promotional activity may appear on the MoneySense and any of NatWest Group’s websites and other social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Video footage and photographs taken for this promotional activity are the property of NatWest Group plc.
Winning schools in the Teachers Competition may also be contacted to participate in subsequent promotional activities detailing what they plan to spend their prize amount on and in accepting the prize amount the school consents to participating in promotional activities for this purpose.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
